Almost apologetically He, the skinny as a pin man Moves, in his very own to himself world He even talks a funny far away foreign language (Skinny as a Pin Man) We saw him last night in The keep away from there gambling place Talking to a man with a squashed in bulldog nose (All gangsters have them) (Dubriste Puno Pacova) Then today he was in the rat ridden rubble of the rubbish dump We saw him He’s always in keep away from there places

I have a thought, that if I were not here You would still find your way You are a moving wind that has no need to love Just find a place to lay You don’t need me, I’m just your favourite pastime Please believe me, I’m just a word to make life rhyme I hear you laughing with the boys, like you’re playing with your toys And you don’t hear them cry If there’s sadness in the air, run your fingers through your hair Turn away and sigh You don’t need me, I’m just your favourite pastime Please believe me, I’m just a word to make life rhyme Instrumental I saw you in the street and thought, I really ought To stop and say hello But vacant eyes and vacant head, keep looking at me like I’m weird So spinning on my heel I turn and go It’s you! You cry from halfway up the road I shrug my shoulders and reload My Senses

Billy said, there were voices in his head Listen to the ravings of another Couldn’t take the pressure Of the constant drip Feels like a recipe for rain He saw the writing on the wind Sitting there about to be set free You will walk the fine line between ignorance and pain You will talk to your walls in your passion and then You will wake the whole world with your minor tongue You will walk – You will walk Billy went to the source of his discontent Put all his tension to the test She took the best of him – the romantic links And took off like a raven in a rainbow The final days where he was seen Feeding off the energy of sin You will walk the fine line between ignorance and pain You will talk to your walls in your passion and then You will wake the whole world with your minor tongue You will walk – You will walk INSTRUMENTAL He saw the writing on the wind Sitting there about to be set free You will walk the fine line between ignorance and pain You will talk to your walls in your passion and then You will wake the whole world with your minor tongue You will walk – You will walk You will walk – You will walk

Late last night, I saw you with my girlfriend And you looked into her eyes like I’d never been born That’s all right I’m used to rejection But I’m tired of fighting other people’s wars And it gets worse every night From sundown and back And your body stays and your body stays and your body stays and your body stays Must you act those ways, leave me on the outside Looking in at you through a TV set D’ya think we shouldn’t touch Am I that much in the grain, would I ruin things again I’m not an insect, And it gets worse every night from sundown and back And your body stays and your body stays and your body stays and your body stays And – Don’t be cruel to her Oh – Don’t be cruel to her, Oh – Don’t be cruel In the raging war – between the sexes I wonder if there’s any room for me I don’t mind, I’m used to rejection But I’m tired of people trying things out on me And it gets worse every night From sundown and back And your body stays and your body stays and your body stays and your body stays And – Don’t be cruel to her Oh – Don’t be cruel to her, Oh – Don’t be cruel Oh – Don’t be cruel to her Oh – Don’t be cruel to her, Oh – Don’t be cruel

Remind Me Remind me of the reason Remind Me Tell me there’s a reason For me to work today The sun shines on me Rays are warm and golden The sun shines on me Perfect for hand holdin’ Won’t go to work today If you can tell me a good reason I should go to work today Keep it to yourself I won’t hear it anyway Can’t destroy this feeling of freedom in my heart Steps are light I can almost fly – my mind is – that’s a start INSTRUMENTAL I’m smiling Smiling for the summer I’m smiling Basking in the sun ahhh Won’t go to work today Don’t tell me Don’t tell me there’s a reason Don’t remind me I’m warm and summers got me I won’t miss my pay It’s so worth it anyway…..

I can’t believe I haven’t known you for all time I can’t believe we’ve been friends such a very short time When I think I’ve known all about you for so long Forgive my presumption babe (Forgive Me Forgive Me Forgive Me Baby case I’m wrong) I can’t believe your child’s a teenager I can’t believe we’ve been such strangers When my heart knows you so well Forgive my presumption babe (Forgive me Forgive me I might be wrong) You don’t pick your friends Life chooses for you (Uh huh) You don’t pick your friends They just come on down to you [INSTRUMENTAL] You don’t pick your friends Life chooses for you (Uh huh) You don’t pick your friends They just come on down to you I can’t believe your child’s a teenager I can’t believe we’ve been such strangers When my heart knows you so well Forgive my presumption baby Oh forgive me, forgive me, forgive me baby case I’m wrong (Forgive me, forgive me, forgive me baby case I’m wrong) And I ain’t never been wrong before…

Well I know you pretty well And surely time will tell that we’ll be friends (And we haven’t had much) And I can tell you truthfully If you need a heart and hand I’ll be there (I’ll be there so fast) All your smiles are seen and your cries are heard You’ve got nothing to prove our littlest pearl ‘Cos just because you’re second doesn’t mean you’re second best We’ll make sure you know that you can mix it with the rest. We need to take some time Need to spend some time with each other (We’ll be in touch) And I can see in your eyes And I can see in your ready smile it’ll be no bother (And I say it with thanks) And your name is strong, you’re a much loved girl You’ve got nothing to prove our littlest pearl ‘Cos just because you’re second doesn’t mean you’re second best We’ll make sure you know that you can mix it with the rest. Instrumental And I can tell you honestly That I truly do believe you’ll get there (Where you wanna be) I’ll help you on the way To wherever you wanna go without question (Just as long as it’s right) May your path be clear and your feelings heard You’ve got nothing to prove our littlest pearl ‘Cos just because you’re second doesn’t mean you’re second best We’ll make sure you know that you can mix it with the rest.

When you think you’re on the way up And you’ve handled past transgressions When you think you’ve had enough now And you’re over the recession Hey, another lie stands up for roll call I don’t want to love you, don’t want to play ball You said not to have faith in you You’re not that kind of man But the night that I was with you Faith was never on your mind As yet another lie stood up for roll call I don’t want to love you… But you said you’d call It’s just a syndrome Get out, have a ball Because you’re going home I got it wrong, you’re not that strong Here’s me thinking I could change you And I took all you could give, I’ve stopped trying to rearrange you The pretence is just too big, As yet another lie stands up for roll call I don’t want to love you, don’t want to play ball Guess you’re sick of my abuses Hey you’ve warned me lots of times Every time you tell a story My foundation just unwinds As yet another lie stands up for roll call I don’t want to love you, don’t want to play ball But you said you’d call It’s just a syndrome Get out! Have a ball Because you’re going home I got it wrong, I’m not that strong

I wish for you, the joy that’s part of your name I wish for you, dreams and visions that spring from the same I hope for you, only trouble from which you’ll learn, I hope for you, the admiration that you earn In any dark and lonely time Think of the sun recall our faces In any dark and lonely time Call out our names, our hearts are there yes I dream for you, everything your heart desires I dream for you warmth and passion kindled like fire I want for you to hold the world in your precious hands I want for you to want for nothing that’s my plan In any light and happy time Feel the warmth recall our faces In any light and happy time Call out our names, our love will soar Instrumental I trust in you to be all that you wish to be I trust in you to draw warmth and love from me Know that you hold a key straight to my heart Know that when you were born you made a slow burning start In any strange and wonderful time Picture the flame recall our faces In any strange and wonderful time Call out our names, we’ll be amazed! [TAG:] Anytime, anytime, anytime

Talking to a friend, a very mutual friend And she said she’d found a man that told the truth We laughed about the fact that our men had the same name (And god), we laughed when we found out both were you Thank you for making me, understand what friendship is And I hope that you have a good friend too Cos when we’re through with you, when we’re through with you You’re gonna need a friend that precious, very precious too! All too often we blame the other woman When maybe we could focus on the man Your choices were fantastic, indisputably good taste Sorry we didn’t fit into your plan Thank you for making me, understand what friendship is And I hope that you’ve got a good friend too Cos when we’re through with you, when we’re through with you You’re gonna need a friend that precious, very precious too!

You are the one who understands me Most… and least You are a part of me We tread the same but separate paths Tonight I feel with you Your presence here is strong Your hurt is mine Cry as you must Use warm tears to mend the tear in your spirit Scars are strength so cry If you have no strong arms to enfold you I’ll give you thoughts I will be there Because we lost in love We lost to death But in our loss is love and overcoming In our loss is more than gain The price we pay is high For understanding (And perhaps eventual peace Serenity)

about

Most and Least was an album written over many years, and released in 2008 - using a great variety of fabulous session musicians.

"My mother made me do it" was the catch cry. She unfortunately never got to see the product, but wrote the words on one of the songs ... "Cry as you must". She had written it for me after one of those desparate teenage phone calls in the middle of some dark event. Lordy - the things that make a muse!

I love her and miss her every day. This was a tribute to her.
